Can I testify?

By Ps. Margret Glade

Today I want to testify of The Goodness of My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God has supernaturally come through for us as a family at a time when it looked bleak and almost impossible.

On The 9th of Oct 2022, I walked into Netcare Hospital Krugersdorp, I had a lump in my thigh and wanted to have it checked out. I was admitted, as some tests needed to be done. So, from the time I was admitted, I started encouraging whoever I came into contact with. In the ward or the coffee shop I encouraged and ministered to ladies. Others were discharged, others came in, all the while, I was still there. The Friday, the 13th of October 2022, late afternoon, a young girl aged 15, was brought to the ward. I overheard that she had tried to take her own life. Later when the medical team had left, I took the opportunity to introduce myself and encouraged her, by telling her that she is special, and that Jesus loves her and has a plan for her life. I told her she is beautiful, and the enemy wants to rob her of what God has for her. She was so grateful said thank you. Saturday, the 14th of October 2022, she was discharged, and she came over to me thank me and gave me a letter, in such a beautiful hand writing. This is her letter:

Dear Aunty G

Thank you so much for encouraging me to fight and do better in life. Before I came to this ward: I Was a lost soul. I did not think there was a need for me to be alive, but you showed me that there is. My reason to want to live should be my family and those that care about me. I appreciate you and love you so much and I promise you I will fight. I will not be controlled by this illness. I will go far one day, in fact in the next 3 years I will be auditioning for Miss South Africa 2025 category and I will mention you in my speech. I love you so much.

She was so grateful, and I believe God used me to help this young lady know she is special and loved by Jesus. However, that very same Saturday evening, all hell broke loose in my life. I became so nauseous and weak. Everything that came out was pitch black. I remember calling my husband to pray and could not remember anything after that. My husband shared with me, what had happened, when I was discharged. He was called the Sunday morning to come in. When he got there, he was told to call the family to come to say their goodbyes as all my vitals were down, because I had a stomach bleed.

Our Pastor had also called the elders of the church to be with hubby at the hospital, and he came later. Apparently in the waiting room the people there held hands and started praying asking God to intervene and declaring healing over me. Not long after the Doctor came out saying this is a miracle. My vitals started coming up. This was a long journey after being intubated thrice, and after the 3rd intubation, hubby was told normally people do not make it when intubated a third time.

But GOD had other plans for my life. There were many people praying for my healing and full recovery. My husband, family, and Pastors were at my bedside – 2 people at a time.

I thank God for His Grace that carried us through the trying times. His supernatural healing power that raised me out of the sick bed. Isaiah 53 v 5 became real to me.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 KJV

My encouragement today is for you to hold onto our Lord Jesus Christ.
